Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. Upon request, I offer a free 15-minute consultation phone call. During the call, you will provide a brief overview of what you are experiencing and what you are looking for in therapy. I will provide an initial impression of whether or not I am a good fit. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about myself or my practice. This call gives us both the opportunity to decide if we are a good match.
I offer virtual therapy services for adolescents (12+), adults, couples and families residing in North Carolina and Washington states. I work with individual/couples/families who identify within the LGBTQ+ community.
I am currently accepting new clients, Monday through Friday.
I am not paneled with any insurance companies, thus I am out of network for all insurance policies. I can provide you with an insurance superbill for services rendered that you may file with your insurance company to request any out of network benefits you may have, as most health insurance policies offer reimbursement for mental health. A superbill includes the dates of service, type of service rendered, your diagnostic code, and the charges associated with the service. By issuing an insurance superbill, I am not making any assurance or guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for the services I provide.
Please note that I do not submit forms directly to insurance companies, nor do I accept payment directly from insurance companies. You are responsible for full payment of my fees at the time of service.
Please be aware that you will be unable to submit for reimbursement to either Medicaid or Medicare, as I do not participate in either program. If you have Medicare as a primary or secondary insurance, you will also be asked to sign an opt out form.
Sliding scale spots are offered on a limited basis and are based on need.
My cancellation policy requires 24 hours advance notice. Appointments canceled with less notice will incur the full session fee. This also applies to no-show appointments.
To protect patients from surprise medical bills, the No Surprises Act requires that providers give patients who are not using insurance, a “good faith estimate” of the cost of care.
If actual charges exceed this “good faith estimate” by at least $400, the patient can dispute the bill. You may ask for a Good Faith Estimate from me anytime.
For more information, or to dispute a bill, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059.
